The Improvisational Creativity Workshop (ICW2017) is being held this July 19-21 in Prato, Italy. The program is now online at
http://improvinterfaces.org/program. A limited number of additional places are still available to attend the workshop, so if you know of a colleague who would like to attend, please pass this information onto them.
The workshop aims to be a unique mix of inspiring talks and panel discussions, paper presentations, group discussions, performances and hands-on making of creative systems for improvisation. Access and tutorials to a number of low-cost computing platforms are provided as part of the workshop.
We are also pleased to announce that we will be editing a special edition of the journal “Digital Creativity” on improvisational creativity. One of the aims of the workshop is to develop potential papers for this special issue, which will be published in January 2018.
In order to participate in the workshop you need to register and pay the registration fee ($300 AUD (~ €200) standard, 150 AUD (~ €100) concession (PhD student or unwaged artist)). This fee includes catering during the workshop (morning and afternoon tea, lunch, but not dinner). Please register by 7 July to get this discounted rate. Registration can be done here:
