Next week is the inaugural run of the Imaginary Landscapes festival featuring audio and code work from McMaster University students, the Cybernetic Orchestra and visiting guest artists - in collaboration with community partners HAVN and New Harbours Music Series. You are warmly invited to come and listen with us!
1. Opening concert - Mon April 7 4:30-6 PM, Togo Salmon Hall 203: Acousmatic music projected on 12 speakers.
2. "Timestamp" - Tue April 8 2:30-3 PM, Togo Salmon Hall 203: A gestural performance piece by the graduate seminar "Sound as Art and Research."
3. Open rehearsal by the Cybernetic Orchestra - Wed April 9 5-7 PM, Togo Salmon Hall 203
4. Imaginary Landscapes _at_ Artcrawl - Fri April 11 8-12 PM, HAVN, 26 Barton Street East; the evening begins with 8 artists live coding for 8 minutes each on an array of 8 loudspeakers; then the Cybernetic Orchestra performs with the SuperCollider programming language and the EspGrid software; the evening ends with electroacoustic performances by guests Nick Storring and Jared Davison.
