I'd like to whisper the following:
.offset = rnd(0,1000) % 100
Where given a sample of 10 waves with a period of 100, reVisit would start playback at a random offset into the file. Of course there might be more interesting ways of selecting which slice to start at, but rnd() would be a great beginning.
