I hope this was caught on video so you'll later be able to see it for
yourself, but I'd like to briefly comment on Craig's Quoth performance last
night here in The Hague. Opposite to what you see most often Craig started
very slowly, as though he saw quoth for the first time. He combined this
with intentionally causing a few errors that Quoth responded to with
messages that were both friendly and helpful, clarifying not just what had
gone wrong, but also a bit about Quoth's workings.
To me this seemed like a new and very promising take on the question of how
to explain what is going on to a lay audience and drawing them in to the
performance. With some luck I'll be able to share some video(s?) of the
night, but the concept itself should be food for thought already.
