Hi all,

I'm Evan Buswell, living in Berkeley, CA. I got into live coding from
Stephen Ramsay's presentation during the Critical Code Studies Working
Group last year. Basically, I'm interested in the potential for live
coding to unlock some of the more expressive or emotioinal aspects of
computing, and maybe help fight the giant architectural babel tower
that programming usually is. But of course, instead of actually doing
it, I got distracted building a babel tower: Cshellsynth
(http://ebuswell.github.com/Cshellsynth/), a C library for live coding
with Ruby bindings. It works, but big parts of it need to be
rewritten, and I'll probably have to drop the Ruby bindings and use
Python instead; all of which maybe someday I'll have time for :-).
Someday you'll see a post with successful live coding using this
platform, but until then, ymmv, though I'd be happy to try and help
anyone get it up and running, if somebody's curious.

Wonderful seeing so many people from so many places!

Evan
