This is the kind of stuff I was thinking about
when I talked about Little Big Planet being a
model for programming computers.

There was a great game that I wrote about several
years back. I always loved it. It was a game
translated in France as "Eurêka", I think it's
called "Widget Workshop" originally. Published by
Maxis if I remember.

I always loved TIM as well. Great stuff. It
actually inspired me for my Game Machine project,
where you could program classic games purely by
drag & drop. Old project. I don't know if I have
any decent documentation on that. When I was
designing it, several of my students showed me
things that went in a similar direction in all
the games I missed in the 90's. One of them was a
very interesting communication system with
symbols -- hmmm, can't remember the name. But all
of them were too tied to one specific task,
whereas TIM and Widget Studio were more
open-ended. Plus you could make a cow moo by
connecting it to the rhythm of a beating mouse
heart. Can't get any better than that.
