        Yes, I use Quoth[1] with both internal and external MIDI devices. It's
written with Squeak Smalltalk[2], another system which seems perfectly
suited to livecoding (because of its dynamism and reflection). Quoth
makes extensive use of runtime code generation (English-to-Smalltalk)
and context manipulation (a la continuations and exceptions).

        There's an OSC package available for Squeak, as I recall.

        For those in the San Francisco Bay Area, I'm giving a presentation
about Quoth at the monthly SF Dorkbot[3] meeting tomorrow (oops, sorry
for the short notice).
