Good luck with the fest! :D

I know quite a few people who don't get on with the slack (as a quite
intensive live chat system), but it feels that email-only forums
exclude some people as well.

Are there better options to replace or supplement slack chat?

I was thinking of trying discourse, a web-based thingie which I
believe has some email interaction.. So like the current groupserver
on lurk.org but more up-to-date and focussed on the web. Here's a nice
example of a discourse community http://llllllll.co/

any thoughts?
