I am really enjoying this collective brainstorm on methods and issues at play in framing this project.
Some of the questions emerging in my research with young people (ie secondary school music and computing classrooms) live coding using Sonic Pi in formal and informal learning environments/settings concern:
1. Empowerment through participation in live coding
2. The need for redefining real time compositional and performance
creativities
3. Assessing live/real time coding: perhaps deriving from and informed by different roles, focus, specifics of the creative and performative process
4. Role models, a more complex identity and forms of engagement which presently do not conform to the constructions identified in music education and route progressions to HE institutions
So many questions concern music education reform and innovative practices
Best wishes

Does it need to/should it be "live/realtime/dynamic" or can I pre-render? Do I have to be able to demonstrate the existence of an algorithm? What if the algorithm is derived from the music, instead of being its creator?
