I didn't notice that myself.
I was however surprised that live coding was overlooked by a research
group supported by ACM and IEEE. It suggests to me how closed and inward
looking the corporate sponsored software engineering sector is.
Live coding has had a major presence at the International Computer Music
Conference since at least 2005, and at the New Interfaces for Musical
Expression (NIME) conference (a spin-off conference of ACM SIGCHI) since
around the same time.
I wouldn't call TOPLAP and [livecode] little. They are embedded in a
global network of computer music and computational arts research across
industry, academia and creative practice (and beyond).
