Hello,
I am looking for references to support the idea behind which the act of programming :
- help to become and stay conscious of the virtual environment, of its possibilities and of its limits,
- help to build a "self" as a child would do when starting to talk and communicate with others,
- help to some other social progress I guess,
If you agree or disagree or would like to bring your own view on the social benefits of programming as a general practice or in a particular context, please do so.
Trying to tie your thinking to some theoretical references would help me better as I would like to do a paper on the subject and would very much like to quote some ideas from the livecode community if it can be more than just a mere personal feeling.
Thanks for your valuable input.
Alex
