Hi Peter,

If it's the creative applications that you're
interested in, perhaps art colleges are interesting
alternatives to music departments? Or music colleges,
particularly if you are interested in working with
performers too? The latter often have specific
composer scholarships available.

But check out music informatics and other science
related departments - a lot of interesting stuff
often happens in them!
