Yes I gave this link here twice already the last week!

This paper has a review of this area including some evalutation of KTH
rules:

Widmer, G. and Goebl, W. (2004). Computational Models of Expressive
Music Performance: The State of the Art. Journal of New Music Research

There are opensource implementations of the KTH rules available but I
haven't heard of anyone using them yet.
