I agree.

Sometimes I feel like the response assumes that the current work is
the end product and they can not see where it is heading. Or perhaps
can not realise the more subtle importance of the work (especially in
such brief news articles). Makes my job fun because I can always aim
for that "end product told-you-so" gig. :)
