Machine Enhanced Improvisation
at
West Road Concert Hall, 11 West Road, Cambridge, 8-10pm, Monday 21st

Dave Ellis (drums), Ian Cross (guitar), Nikki Moran (sitar), Fredrik
Olofsson (visuals), Nick Collins (audio)
This concert premieres works combining human and artificial performers. New
techniques developed for machine listening will be exploited including beat
induction tracking of a drummer, free jazz simulation, onset and pitch
detection and event analysis. The duo klipp av (www.klippav.org) will also
perform, showing new technological and artistic advances in audiovisual
synchronisation with live event capture.
