just a brief report:
I attended the live algorithms network meeting over the last two days: the
focus wqs on autonomous AI performers for improvisation. So a complementary
strand of research to TOPLAP, no real clash of ideology, the two are
different in aim (though a few issues may overlap, ie demonstrating the
intentionality of algorithms when your algorithms lack human expressions :
) ).
The AI agent aspect was not exhibited particularly well by last night's
concert, with some relatively typical electronic music performances (but
some nice ones, and good to hear Jonathon Impett's emergent music system).
