I certainly used to "live code" analog computers when I was an engineering undergrad. This was about the same time that I first saw a modular music synth, and the user interface of the two was practically identical (patch cords between rack units).

So in the technical sense the (Tanimoto) liveness of the two was very high long before digital notations disrupted that.

However, I suspect that Thor's question was really about performativity. My lab demonstrators used to do "performances" on the analog computers. How often did analog synth users plug in new patch cords on stage?
