Sorry for cross posting. Medea Electronique announces its open call for
works for the upcoming 'Electrinc Nights' Festival, which will take place
in Athens, Greece, on the 25th and 26th of April, 2014. Submission deadline
is February 1st.
Since 2008 medea Electronique has been organizing different thematic
electronic arts festivals. Within the 27 hours of electronic arts that is
the Electric Nights festival, Medea Electronique will host over
twenty-seven acts of live improvised music. Via an open call they invite
musicians and sound artists to apply to take part in this collaborative
event.
The music will range from contemporary improvised experimental music, DIY
and noise art. This year’s festival strongly encourages DIY practitioners
to apply and participate with their own instruments and devices.
The total earnings of the festival will be split into two: 50% of the
earnings will go to Medea to cover organization, promotion and production
of the festival and 50% will go to the participating artists (to be split
equally among all participating groups).
