I've been working on a live-coding app that uses the Processing framework for visual rendering and audio analysis. You can think of it as "fluxus for Java". It's not ready for the public yet, but I've started to do some demos in the New York tech scene.

I think an argument could be made that Java/Processing isn't the best language for live-coding but Processing has a very active user base and lots of example code on the web. I think that a solid live-coding app that uses Processing would open up live coding to a much larger audience than what exists now.

You can see my work-in-progess code at http://github.com/chris3000/per4ming
You can see a snippet of the app in action at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTT8WiekF8s

Good luck with your presentation,
Chris
