Dear list,
I have just put an extract of my new work 'Holographic memory' on my
website.
The sound source comes from orchestral samples in Logic but the score is all
generated from SuperCollider sending MIDIOut in realtime. There is no post
editing.

This is no true live coding, as most of the algorithms are pre-written but I
use live coding to choose which functions are being used, set their values
and to get a fresh performance everytime I listen to the music.
I have noticed that working on 'paper' score or standard sequencer has some
consequences on how much I remember a piece and how much I can perceive
relationship between various elements. As a result, I am always tempted to
write too much and overdo it!
Thanks to the live coding element, I cannot know too much in advance. To
preserve the essential, I have to set the system to a state which is
pleasing for me, regardless from how much I can control the outcome.

Fabrice

(PS: if any one can think of places where I could send this type of work in
order to promote it, please let me know)
