patterns are great! i use them extensively. though for livecoding
you'll probably want to run them in within a Pdef. this such a
brilliant class (julian tm!). it lets you swap in place and nest and
quickly build very complex structures. many of my aug. practising
session used this technique. here one that turned out alright...
