I have mostly been lurking on this list and can't say that I have too
much experience live-coding. I did like the 4x4 generative design and
the flash math books a lot. for live-coding i think it would be really
impressive to have some way of showing the code evolving so that's
maybe how a DVD could come in pretty handy. the problem is that with
the flash math book for example it's pretty easy to image the stills in
motion if you know a little bit of actionscript etc, but for live-code
it might be tricky to find a way to make readers understand how a
certain algorithm could sound without some kind of audio/visual support
materials... so maybe a dvd would be good but ideally i guess a user
would want to grab some of the code and try their own thing with it...
not sure how that could be solved very easily...
anyway those are just my thoughts ! i would really love to see this
book happen !
