I guess I'll introduce myself too.
I am Sharp Hall (sharph.net). I'm a senior in high school, and I've
done linux (and electronic music) things since the 4th grade. I use
spiralsynthmodular to make electronic music mainly (see
http://ccmixter.org/media/people/sharp), but I fool around with other
suff. I made two Perl files (
http://sharph.net/em/ under "Using Perl")
that can be used to do live coding with MIDI. The code is reloaded
every "phrase" (256 ticks) and "eval'ed" every tick.
I use ALSA's virtual midi device to hook it up to amSynth just to play
around, or zynaddsubfx and specimen for some real synth and drums. I
don't have anything to show just yet, but I hope to make some tracks
with it for a new album I'm putting together.
I could do a live show if I wanted to, all I would need is an audience
and a projector.
