dear alex,

thanks for your message. i know about toplap through the presentation
at read_me and i like the concept - it would be great to have you get
together in berlin in february. unfortunately, your request comes at
a moment when we are struggling with an overdrawn budget, so that it
is not possible that we commit to additional costs. it is very late
now to raise additional funds, our application to the us-embassy has
long been submitted, so nothing comes to mind right now.

if you manage to arrange something at C-Base, we'd be happy to take
it up as a partner event; it would be good to know about this in the
course of this week as we need to block the space in the booklet.

i'm sorry to have to be short and negative, but the situation leave
little room for manouevre at the moment.
