slidyness is probably due to that it's hardly ever in 4/4 time, and I'm
changing the timing on some of the parts a lot of the time.

well, it doesn't change anything on it's own - its not generative in that
sense, so all changes are either due to program changes (recalculating the
lsystem by live coding or manual GP style choices) or turning the patterns on
or off or changing tempo - along with changing the synth by "good old
fashioned" slider tweaking.
