The trouble I have with what you're saying is that it's too rational. And it
is not
the artist's job to be rational.

I don't think we should look for similarities at all. I think we should
create
differences and be comfortable with them - with arguments, instead of meek
camaraderie and patpatpat/laplaplap.

That whole smugness about what one artist is doing causes
the atrophy of any artform. We should really be kicking and shouting
and cracking bad jokes here if TopLap is to get anywhere.
